Maker’s name (“Albaret, Graveur, à Agen“) on Ace of Coins. Circa 1850.

All the quoted authors regard the deck as aluette, although it does not show any of its characteristics. It rather is a variant of the French Catalan pattern (Mann coll. 35), yet with strange (female?) cavaliers. The Boisse company was active from 1839 until 1880.
2 small holes in the lower (white) margin, otherwise very good conservation.
