As the inventory of a private collection, this catalogue, which mainly covers the period 1850-1970, must naturally remain incomplete. Still it offers a detailed overview of the production specially of the Turnhout cardmakers, even when Liege, Brussels, Bruges, Ghent and Mechelen are taken into account. Because the author records many variants of the standard patterns, this work will be quite helpful for collectors. Where ever possible, accompanying material (wrappers, invoices, postcards...) is illustrated. Second edition of the sought-after work with some corrections.
