The deck is intended to remind the Rouen I pattern, see for example the jack of clubs. The kings are medieval rulers and the jacks warriors or merchants. The queens are self-assured or dreamy belles with lance, flower... On the aces a young man wearing a bag cap is courting a girl wrapped in oriental shawls. One of the blank cards has been signed and dated „1. October 1990“ by the artist. The back of the title card smeared with glue, otherwise almost mint.
