The sheet is signed: „A Paris, chez Alex.dre Tessier, Suc. (successeur) de M.me V.e (veuve = widow) Chereau rue St. Jacques, No. 10.“ According to Duchartre/Saulnier, Tessier was active at this address from 1822 until 1830, he is otherwise recorded till 1840. BnF calls him „Teissier“, gives for him the dates of 1819 to 1830 and dates the sheet around 1823. Grotesque figures play écarté at 2 tables, in the background we see a couple dancing.
Some foxing in the margins, faint crease in the right border.
