The composer Arnold Schoenberg, Viennese by birth, became a teacher at the University of California in Los Angeles in 1936. Besides the music, he left extensive works in painting. His deck of cards was printed here for the first time in the series Famous Playing Cards, edited by Ernst Rudolf Ragg.
