Zweiter Deutscher Scatcongress in Leipzig vom 25.-27. Juni 1887 (Second German Skat Congress in Leipzig from 25th - 27th June, 1887). Design: H. Horn (backs). 32, complete. Color lith., partly enhanced with gilt, 91x60 mm, round corners, gilt, no index mark. Backs: View of the congress venue, Leipzig’s „Zentralhalle“ (Central Hall), in a frame of ornaments including the German suit-signs, in brown on blue background.
Maker’s name on Jack of Clubs. Tax stamp of the German Empire No. 59 (Leipzig), value: 30 Pfennig (1879 - circa 1895), on Ace of Hearts. 1887.

The company was extant under the mentioned name from 1881 until 1907 (W. Suma in IPCS Papers No. 2, May 1994). Our luxurious figures in historical costumes obviously are a copy of the first version of the Glazed Playing-cards from the St. Petersburg factory.
Somewhat damaged illustrated OSlipcase, almost mint - slightly worn.
